High School Student Composer Project

Medusa Saxophone Quartet (MSQ) is excited to launch our inaugural High School Student Composer Project based in Louisiana. This initiative offers high school student musicians—whether new or experienced—a unique professional development opportunity. Applications are open to all Louisiana high school musicians, with a maximum of 15 spots available. The first 15 student submissions will collaborate with MSQ, who will perform and record the student compositions, provide feedback, and host a recital in Baton Rouge featuring all selected works. MSQ will promote and showcase each composition through MSQ’s social media and website.

Students will submit their compositions to MSQ via this form to participate. Please review the submission guidelines below. The application fee is $15 and is applied toward the cost of recording.
